This is our joint rejuvenation program using shockwave therapy or/and injectables Hyaluronic Acid (HA). The progressive degeneration of articular cartilage, which contains collagen, is an underlying problem in the pathogenesis of osteoarthritis (OA). Shockwave therapy will help to stimulate collagen production in the deeper layers of the tissues and visco-supplementation with hyaluronic acid help increase type II collagen production by chondrocytes, cells found in cartilage.
